Pico Laser Price in Singapore: What a Quote Includes
At RP Clinic, a first pico laser visit is $88 nett. It includes your doctor's consultation, Visia skin analysis and your first session, with GST included. The treatment is performed by the doctor. We are at Level 4, Tang Plaza, 310 Orchard Road, directly above Orchard MRT.
Pico laser prices in Singapore cover different amounts of treatment. Here is what sits behind the number.
1. How much skin is being treated
The single biggest variable. A quote for treating a few specific sun spots covers a fraction of the face. A quote for a full-face session covers all of it, at every pass. Both are legitimately called "pico laser". They are not the same amount of work, the same time, or the same consumable cost.
When you compare quotes, the first question is not "how much" but "how much of my face".
2. Which handpiece, and how much energy
A picosecond laser can be run in a straightforward pigment-targeting mode, or through a fractional handpiece that concentrates the same energy into an array of tiny high-intensity points. The fractional setting does considerably more — it addresses texture and overall renewal rather than just lifting a mark — and it costs more, in consumables and in the downtime you take on.
A very low quote is often a low-energy, single-pass session. It is not necessarily bad value; it is simply less treatment.
3. Number of passes and total time
The same face can be covered once or several times in a session. More passes means more energy delivered and a longer appointment. Ask how long the session is booked for — a fifteen-minute slot and a fifty-minute slot are not delivering the same thing.
4. Who is holding the device
In Singapore, some treatments must be performed by a doctor and others may be delegated to a trained therapist working under a doctor's direction. That distinction affects cost, and it is a fair thing to ask about directly before you book.
5. Single session or a course
Pigmentation rarely resolves in one visit. A per-session price and a course price answer different questions, and a low per-session number can end up higher overall if the protocol needs more visits. Ask what a realistic total looks like for your skin, not just what one visit costs.
What a "cheap" pico session usually means
It usually means one of these: a small treatment area, low energy, a single pass or a short appointment. Each of these answers a different question from the one most people think they are asking.
What to ask so you're comparing like with like
- Which areas are included, and is the full face covered on every pass?
- Standard pigment mode, fractional mode, or both in the same session?
- How many passes, and how long is the appointment booked for?
- Doctor-performed or therapist-performed?
- How many sessions does the clinic expect my pigmentation to need?
Downtime is part of the cost
The fractional setting commonly leaves redness for around five to seven days. That is expected, not a complication — but it is time you may need to plan around, and it belongs in the comparison. A cheaper session with no downtime and a more expensive one with a week of redness are not competing for the same slot in your calendar.
Pigment also frequently looks darker for several days before it clears, as the fragments work their way to the surface. People who were not warned about this understandably think the treatment made things worse.
The thing that affects your result more than price
What type of pigmentation you have. Sun-induced spots, melasma and post-acne marks look similar to an untrained eye and behave completely differently under a laser — melasma in particular can worsen if it is treated as though it were a sun spot. Paying more for the wrong approach is worse value than paying less for the right one.
If you are not sure which you have, that is the thing to resolve first.
What happens after the first visit
The $88 covers your first visit: the doctor's consultation, Visia skin analysis and your first session. If further sessions are recommended, how many and what each costs are set out during your consultation, before anything is agreed.
